About LIC's Bima Sakhi Scheme

LIC’s Bima Sakhi was launched by Hon. Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi on 9th December 2024 in Panipat.

This is a stipendiary Scheme, exclusively for Women , with a stipendiary period of 3 years.

Minimum completed age should be 18 years as on date of application. Maximum age at entry will be 60 years ( last birthday)

After completion of three years of stipendiary period, LIC will help train these women and after a basic examination, they will be selected to join the insurer as full time agents.

A graduate women under Bima Sakhi Yojna will have opportunity to join as a full time employee in the organization as Development Officer.

First Year Stipend will be ₹7000, Second year will be ₹6000 and ₹5000.
Eligibility Criteria
Relatives of existing Agent or Employee shall not be eligible to be recruited as MCAs. Relatives shall include the following family members – Spouse, Children including adopted and step children (whether dependent or not), Parents, Brothers, Sisters and immediate In-laws.
A Retired employee of the Corporation or an Ex-agent seeking reappointment shall not be granted agency under MCA scheme.
Existing agent can not apply for recruitment as BIMA SAKHI.
The following documents ready before filling the registration form:-
Original Aadhar Card (for address proof )
Original PAN Card
Original Certificate or Marksheet of SSC Exam (Class 10th)
Passport Size Photo
Signature on Blank Paper
The application is liable to be rejected if the information furnished is incomplete or wrong documents are uploaded
Steps to Apply
You have to register yourself by submitting KYC documents like Aadhar Card, Address Proof, PAN Card, Passport size photo, Cancelled Cheque etc.
Next step would be an introductory interview and document verification and a unique registration number will be generated.
IRDA License exam will be held within 15 days of Registration date and time of which will be informed.
After passing the license exam you will be appointed as BIMA SAKHI.
